Gary Baron

President and Chief Executive Officer

LEADERSHIP | CEO | CIO | COO| DIRECTORS

Gary Baron is a dual action CEO — both engineer and marketing visionary. Notorious in his youth as the kid who would take apart unguarded household appliances to see how they worked, Gary put his curiosity to better use after graduating from Temple University with an engineering degree and MBA under his belt.

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Baron held various engineering and project management positions for Fisher and Porter, General Electric, and Leeds and Northrup. His designs found their way into everything from cool gadgets for high-tech cars to the computer-controlled toilet for the space shuttle.

Giving rein to his entrepreneurial instincts in 1985, Baron left his corporate position to form his own consulting company and focus his passion for computers and communications on the telephony sector. He developed sophisticated voice-mail systems to operate fee-based telephone chat and other telephone-based entertainment services. This led, in 1989, to the founding of Voice Systems Engineering. Exercising his talents for technology and his ability to identify niche market opportunities, Baron soon established VSE as a profitable growth company and a leader in the telephone entertainment industry.

As CEO of Voice Systems Engineering, Baron is engaged in promoting the expansion of the company's products and services, and in nurturing the evolution of its capabilities. Building on the success of its proprietary telephone-based platforms, VSE has migrated onto the Web developing new platforms that open an exciting range of new voice-based services, and providing broadband access to the Internet for commercial customers.

And Baron is clear about his formula for continued profitable growth:

"Our dedication to success is what motivates us as a team, with the role of every member important to our mission, and with everyone working together to realize the vision." —Gary Baron
